Description
The poster represents the destruction of trees in the forest. Due to overwhelming demands on development of human and technology, the forest have to be sacrificed. They have to cut down the trees to build towers and buildings. As a result, it has raised the temperature of the earth.
Ideation
I stick to my overall theme, the last tree on earth. All trees have been cut down and there left the tree alone. The buildings at the back are the culprits of deforestation. Sunburst in the poster shows there is a raise of temperature.
Slogan
“Save the Tree”:
Protect our forest, prevent deforestation, and avoid global warming.
Color
The colors used in the poster are mainly light colors. It gives a not so moody feeling yet it cools down our emotion.

After some critics and comments on the logo/symbol of assignment 1,ive made some corrections and edited some,but not some i think a lot have changed from the first one.Made the crystal effects like mdm ling asked me to do.
I play around with some gradients and made a shadow of the tree.And i cut the hole image,want to get rid of the card look which is not meeting the requirement of a logo.And the result:
Spade Tree
The brief explanation about the logo is it is a last tree standing on Earth. This is caused by the deforestation itself. Deforestation is the conversion of forested areas to non-forest land for use such as arable land, pasture, urban use, logged area, or wasteland. Generally, the removal or destruction of significant areas of forest cover has resulted in a degraded environment with reduced biodiversity. In many countries, massive deforestation is ongoing and is shaping climate and geography. Deforestation results from removal of trees without sufficient reforestation, and results in declines in habitat and biodiversity, wood for fuel and industrial use, and quality of life.
The metaphor of this logo as stated it is the last tree standing of the earth. In details, it is relating to the death of trees. The shape spade is chosen for some reason which indicates the death. Aces of spade is usually known as the death card in various cards games. The concept is adapted in this logo.
There are a wide choices of colors used in this logo to create moods and to explain in details. For instances,the gradient behind the big tree is to create a hot temperature. The black colored trees is the dead which soon to be ghost tree.
This logo some how relates to the area of global warming as it is getting hotter without the trees. Due to excessive heats, people are getting more uncomfortable and it affect our lives. Imagine there is only one tree left in the world,we will pretty much end up dead within few hours.

Stopping the loggers is the fastest and cheapest solution to climate change. So why are global leaders turning a blind eye to this crisis?” .
The destruction of forest is one of the major cause of global warming. I will use this ‘area’ as my guide to CG1 assignment. To start off i’ve done some sketch on assignment 1 symbol/logo. It is not that pretty nor creative but the idea is the open fire or what we call ‘hutan terbakar’.
Today as i’m having my lunch at ‘terminalasion’,there’s one guy wearing a shirt with the symbol SPADE. The spade is surrounded with a lot of leaves.
Done some research on spade,specifically on aces of spade and it is often call the death card. Spade is the highest or we can say bunga yg paling kuat among the other:love,diamond,etc.

After trying very hard on drawing and mixing different shapes in illustrator,i remembered an easy way to draw on pc,pixel art ! here is the result and this is going to be the idea of my assignment 1 on symbol.

My first attempt as an illustrator. This is just the what we call try and error session. Just want to get the feel of the Adobe Illustrator and it is hard to do it though it needs a lot of passion and practice even on this such easy design.
